This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join a growing practice in Manchester. You’ll work closely with managers and directors, provide valuable advice to clients, and play a key role in mentoring junior team members.

The Role

As Senior Accountant, you’ll enjoy a varied position combining technical work, client interaction, and team development. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and tax services while also supporting the firm’s wider growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing year-end financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and personal tax returns.
• Working with clients to streamline accounting processes and provide tailored advice.
• Building long‑lasting relationships with clients and acting as a trusted adviser.
• Collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Supporting, coaching, and developing junior team members.
• Assisting managers and directors with more complex assignments and advisory projects.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Be ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist) with practice experience.
• Have strong technical knowledge in accounts preparation and tax compliance.
• Be confident in client‑facing situations and enjoy building professional relationships.
• Have experience mentoring or supervising junior staff.
• Be proactive, motivated, and comfortable managing multiple assignments.
• Knowledge of CCH software would be an advantage but is not essential.
