Position: Senior AI Software Developer

Department: Platform Engineering

Reports to: Head of Platform Engineering

The Team: The Developer AI team is on a mission to supercharge the productivity, creativity, and satisfaction of our engineering teams by embedding AI capabilities into our internal developer tools and workflows. We build smart assistants, automation systems, and intelligent insights that redefine what’s possible in the software development lifecycle.

The Role

At the JET platform engineering department we are looking for the one who can help us create an exceptional developer experience and take our developer platform to the next level. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AI-powered developer tools and services
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to define technical solutions
• Integrate LLMs (like OpenAI, Claude, or open-source alternatives) into developer workflows
• Experience building Agentic AI solutions in production environments
• Experiment with prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, and fine-tuning techniques
• Drive initiatives to improve developer velocity, quality, and satisfaction
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship
• Stay current with advances in AI, developer tooling, and software engineering best practices

Requirements

• Must-Haves: Strong experience in software engineering, ideally in backend or full-stack roles
• Proficiency in languages Python, C#, or Java
• Experience with AWS and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with REST/gRPC APIs and event-driven systems
• Exposure to LLM APIs, vector databases, and basic ML concepts
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for developer experience and building tools that engineers love

Nice-to-Haves

• Nice-to-Haves: Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, or similar frameworks
• Background in AWS AI ecosystem and tools like Bedrock
• Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar
• Contributions to open-source developer tools or AI projects
