Hybrid working, 2 days in office, base salary £65000 - £70000

Role Overview

The Senior Asset Manager will be responsible for the long-term performance and sustainability of a diverse housing portfolio. You’ll lead on asset strategy, guide investment decisions, and ensure properties meet regulatory and operational standards. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, offering the chance to influence key decisions and mentor emerging talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Senior Asset Manager will oversee asset management for a regional portfolio, ensuring compliance with safety, sustainability, and performance benchmarks.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, ensuring timely resolution of issues and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Lead on investment planning, including recommendations for acquisitions, disposals, and capital improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver regional asset plans and contribute to broader strategic initiatives.
  • The Senior Asset Manager will produce clear, data-driven reports and insights to support decision-making across the business.
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues working toward professional accreditation.

Candidate Profile

  • Chartered professional (MRICS or equivalent) with significant experience in residential asset management.
  • Strong working knowledge of housing legislation, leasehold structures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of developing and managing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with a practical approach to problem-solving and delivering value.
