Overview

This role is for a Backend Engineer with Python who will work on high-traffic, cloud-native microservices. The company operates in InsurTech, building scalable systems using Python with FastAPI, gRPC GraphQL, AWS (EKS). The role offers a base salary of £70,000–£95,000 with bonus, plus a flexible benefits budget and a 90-day work-from-anywhere perk. Remote first or hybrid (London).

What you’ll be doing

• Contributing to the design and development of scalable backend systems
• Working across rotating product squads with full domain exposure
• Deploying and owning your code in production (AWS EKS)
• Collaborating with product and engineering leads to solve complex problems
