Senior Business Analyst

The Senior Business Analyst will conduct Business Analysis-related project work, support the Lead BA with Portfolio management, coach, mentor, and quality assure BA’s work within the portfolio. Working with the Business areas within their domain to identify & define opportunities for improvement and deliver change successfully.
What you’ll be doing as a Senior Business Analyst
- Build strong relationships and communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders.
- Manage risk related to analysis deliverables and the overall requirements of projects or programs.
- Adopt a customer-centred approach, working closely with business areas and Business Analysts, guiding and challenging preconceptions, and fostering collaboration to optimize opportunities within your domain.
- Support Project Leads and teams in prioritization and decision-making.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the community, promoting agile principles, practices, and cultural changes to enhance change delivery across Thames Water.
- Act as an escalation point for Business Analysts and project stakeholders for analysis activities and deliverables, facilitating discussions for shared understanding and resolution planning.
- Provide Quality Assurance for Business Analyst outputs and overall service offerings.
- Experience in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Base location: Hybrid, 2 days a week in the office at Clear Water Court, with some travel to sites as needed.
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 36 hours.
What you should bring to the role
- BCS Diploma or Equivalent
- Extensive experience working in a digital Business Analysis project environment.
- Experience in Portfolio management for incoming project ideas.
- Experience managing teams of Business Analysts.
- Coaching and mentoring skills.
- Ability to present complex information clearly at all organizational levels, simplifying technical and business concepts.
- Stakeholder expectation management skills.
