Senior Civil Engineer (Water) – Design & Build at Stantec. This role is based in the UK with offices in High Wycombe, Reading or London, near rail links. You will be responsible for the project’s civil engineering design and will collaborate with project design leads to ensure successful delivery for our clients.

We work on projects across Water and Wastewater treatment, Water and Wastewater networks, Storm Water overflows and urban drainage. Our pipeline covers asset planning/strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design. We partner with contractor teams to deliver major Design & Build projects. You will also have opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the UK team and contribute to sustainability and community-focused outcomes.

To continue solving challenging problems and delivering high-level expertise, we are looking for a talented Senior Civil Engineer who enjoys working on impactful projects to join our team in High Wycombe, Reading or London.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design for projects and work with project design leads to ensure successful delivery.
• Support the professional development of junior engineers and provide leadership to the civil engineering team.
• Collaborate with contractor partners on major Design & Build projects.
• Access Stantec’s expertise to deliver cutting-edge design and solutions.

About You

• Degree qualification (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related subject.
• Ideally Chartered or Incorporated member (e.g., ICE or CIWEM).
• Experience in design within the UK water industry or related fields.
• Passion for water and environment sectors and for developing civil engineers.
• Client-facing experience with leading client engagement and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent; professional body membership preferred.
