Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to help us evolve our hybrid cloudplatform and infrastructure strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design,
deploy and maintain scalable, secure and cost-effective systems in Microsoft Azure and our onpremises private cloud.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Azure architecture, platform engineering, and infrastructure automation.
You will have shared responsibility and technical ownership of our Azure Cloud environment,ensuring it aligns with industry best practices and supports the needs of our growing studio.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Azure-based architectures including, networking, identity, security,and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-studio teams to advise on optimal deployment strategies acrossAzure and on-prem environments.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps), demonstratingadvanced skills and driving adoption across teams.
- Lead and support platform engineering initiatives to improve developer experience, CI/CDpipelines, and system reliability.
- Execute complex projects from design through to implementation and transition to BAU,with comprehensive documentation.
- Apply FinOps and cloud governance principles to ensure cost-effective, secure, andscalable infrastructure.
- Leverage AI/ML tooling to automate repetitive tasks and optimize infrastructure operations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential to improve ourenvironment.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on Azure andInfrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Proven experience in Azure architecture design, including landing zone design, networking,Azure Arc (Hybrid cloud strategy), identity, and security best practices.
- Experience managing large-scale cloud migrations and hybrid infrastructure projects.
- Advanced knowledge of VMware, Windows Server/Desktop, Linux, and macOS.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, especially within an Azure DevOpsenvironment.
- Deep understanding of declarative languages: Terraform and Ansible.
- Proficiency in scripting languages: PowerShell, Python and Bash.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure monitor, Prometheus andGrafana.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred
- Experience in the games industry is a plus.
- Experience with TeamCity as a CI/CD platform.
- Multi-Cloud expertise (Azure, AWS).
- Understanding of relational databases (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB,MongoDB).
- Proficiency in C# and Kotlin for platform tooling or automation tasks.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
