Senior Control System Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Lead or support the engineering and delivery of data centre control systems projects, from specification through to handover, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
2. Program and configure PLC (Allen-Bradley) and DDC systems (e.g., Trend, Tridium Niagara, Cylon) to monitor and control HVAC, power, and environmental systems.
3. Integrate third-party systems using open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP for seamless operation within the wider data centre infrastructure.
4. Conduct site-based commissioning, functional testing, and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
5. Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate design intent, project milestones, and integration strategies.

Experience Required

• 3–5+ years of experience in building automation, control systems engineering, or BMS/EMS design and commissioning, preferably within critical environments.
• Experience working with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Knowledge of graphical interface configuration, I/O setup, and logic programming.
• Practical knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider) and DDC systems, with the ability to write and troubleshoot control logic.
• BEng/HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Automation, or a related field.
