Job Title: Senior Customer Engagement Functional Consultant
Location: Hybrid working, Mainland UK based with travel to client sites as required.
Reports to: CE Services Director
Job Purpose: The Dynamics CE Senior Functional Consultant is a core member of our customer delivery team for D365 CE solutions. You will be heavily involved in the technical solution design, development, and leadership of the implementation of Dynamics CE solutions for our clients. You will work across the project lifecycle from RFP and Tender through to implementation and post go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior functional consultancy across a diverse range of Dynamics CE projects, contributing to the full implementation lifecycle
- Analyse business procedures with clients, clarify requirements, and determine scope of CE solutions
- Collaborate with delivery team members and the Solution Architect to ensure CE solutions meet client requirements
- Work with Project Managers to keep activities within budget/time constraints and deliver to quality guidelines
- Create high-quality client solutions and project documentation, including support for testing activities
- Deliver high-quality business and software solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics CE standards and supported configurations/customizations
- Manage customer expectations and maximise software utilisation
- Provide 2nd line assistance to the support team for functional Dynamics CRM issues
- Collaborate with the CE Team Leader, Solution Lead, Project Managers and Development Team
- Build relationships with HSO Dynamics CE customers and provide professional, quality service
- Develop knowledge base for end users and team members (product knowledge or industry expertise)
- Deliver consultancy and development work according to project methodology, on time and on budget
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, including building demos and proofs of concept
- Meet and exceed customer expectations of business knowledge, skills and behaviour
- Identify project risks and mitigate or communicate as necessary
- Work with minimal supervision when appropriate
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Provide progress updates to stakeholders and lead customer-focused solution playback sessions
- Deliver end-user training for clients
- Carry out additional duties as required by line manager or Director
- Ensure required Microsoft Certifications and Accreditations for this role within HSO are met
Essential Qualifications
- University degree in computing or a business discipline
- Minimum 2 Microsoft Dynamics CE Certifications
- Strong technical and functional understanding of Microsoft Dynamics CE
- Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in CE configuration, customization, workflows, dashboards, forms and views
- Knowledge of CE functional areas including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Case/Contact Management
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Adept at leading requirement gathering workshops
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
- Business process mapping, modelling and documentation knowledge
- Good understanding of implementation methodologies
- Pre-sales experience
Desirable
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 applications beyond Sales, Marketing and Customer Service
- Understanding of Power Platform and other Microsoft stack areas
- Understanding of Office 365 standard CE integrations
- Experience with Microsoft Flow and/or Logic Apps
- Experience integrating CE with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or other legacy/third-party systems
- Knowledge of additional technologies complementary to Dynamics CE
- Data migration knowledge and related options/processes
