Do you have the ability to dive into deep data and extract useful insights? If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you in our team as a Senior Data Analyst.

As a Senior Data Analyst in the Metering Operations team you'll be at the forefront of making data work for the wider business, and, ultimately, our customers. You'll pioneer innovative analytical and technology concepts, take a lead on projects and construct sound, incisive insight to steer the business decisions of our leadership team. The work is fast paced and varied and calls for creativity as well as proactivity!

What you'll be doing

• Analysing large data sets by applying a variety of logical techniques to make complex problems approachable.
• Using creativity and collaboration to bring data stories to life through varied and well-designed visualisations.
• Taking the lead on individual and collaborative projects to enhance the running of the operation.
• Driving data led business strategy through intelligent data modelling and case studies.
• Boosting efficiency through tool creation and process optimisation.
• Building and maintaining data pipelines using a variety of off the shelf and in-house tools.
• Being a pioneer of new tech & data concepts to future proof the business.
• Identifying commercial opportunities & risks.
• Being courageous and driving substantive change in the business with incisive, data led recommendations.

What skills do you need?

• Ability to work as part of a team of likeminded data professionals.
• Prior experience of building and maintaining analytical models
• Strong stakeholder management abilities
• Power user level of SQL, preferably multiple dialects (Standard, T-SQL, etc.).
• Experience using visualisation software (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
• High level MS Excel knowledge.
• Ability to work flexibly and set achievable goals (Agile).
• Ability to present, written and verbally, to different levels of audience.
