OverviewSenior Data Scientist – Media - London - up to £90kThis role involves building and deploying ML models, evaluating tools and technologies, and driving ML projects to deliver business impact within a major UK media company.We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist who can develop Machine Learning models, assess tool options, and lead projects from inception to deployment at scale.Location: London. Hybrid working with occasional office attendance is expected.ResponsibilitiesBuild and deploy machine learning models that solve real business problems in media (pricing, marketing, customer engagement, personalization, etc.).Evaluate and select software tools, libraries, and platforms; guide adoption across the team.Lead ML projects end-to-end, including design, experimentation, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.Collaborate with Data Engineering and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions.Review code and mentor junior colleagues to maintain quality and accelerate delivery.Identify opportunities in data and optimize processes to improve outcomes.What background and skillsYou’ll come from a strong statistical/mathematical background with experience applying solutions to real-world problems. You should be able to identify opportunities in data, collaborate with Data Engineering, work with ML and non-technical stakeholders, and optimize processes.Required skillsAt least 4 years of experience in Statistics and Machine LearningExperience with Python machine learning libraries (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)At least 3 years of Python programming experienceExperience applying models to Big DataFamiliarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) principlesFamiliarity with cloud platforms (we use GCP, but other clouds are fine)Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical colleaguesWhat’s on offerBase salary up to £90k plus a generous package including a bonus (up to 15%), matched pension contribution (up to 10%), extensive healthcare and wellness programs, and flexible working.
