Salary: Up to £49,400 dependent on skills and experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maturing the designs of the assigned Auxiliary systems and compartments of the Hunter Class Frigates in accordance with the requirements dictated by the program milestones.
  • Active engagement with the internal and external stakeholder community to synergise efforts and deliver best for program outcomes.
  • Development and maturation of marine engineering processes.
  • Leading decision‑making within designated areas of responsibility.
  • Offering robust support to team members and collaborating closely with the principal engineer and the engineering manager.
  • Serving as the primary engineering contact for the suppliers, ensuring seamless communication and strong relationships.

Your Skills And Experiences

  • Degree qualified in a STEM related subject.
  • Associate / Member level membership of an appropriate Professional Engineering Institute, ideally with professional registration at the level of IEng and actively engaged in working towards CEng.
  • Experience and knowledge of mechanical engineering systems and design.
  • Understanding of Engineering Lifecycle management.

Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution. Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation. Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.
