Senior Engineer - London

We are recruiting a Senior Engineer for Residential/Commercial projects within our UK South Build Division. The Senior Engineer manages the engineering function as the senior representative, coordinates with the line manager, and provides engineering leadership for their respective project(s). They set the strategy for engineering, including setting out and onsite control, along with the Engineer/Assistant Engineer and supply chain. The Senior Engineer is the primary point of reference for QA, record keeping, and production, ensuring the establishment and maintenance of Sisk Quality procedures and requirements. They also take responsibility for Temporary Works Control/Coordination and actively manage lifting operations when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Competent in the principles of quality control for most packages.
• Review and create Inspection & Test Plans.
• Issue “Permits to break ground”.
• Review and create method statements and risk assessments.
• Identify missing information and have excellent working knowledge of the project RFI process.
• Undertake the role of Temporary Works Co-ordinator (when appointed) and ensure Sisk Temporary Works procedures are implemented for both direct and subcontracted works.
• Undertake the role of Project Lifting Operations Appointed Person (when appointed).

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, A-Site, Viewpoint.
• Experience in Quality Management, Temporary Works, Lifting Operations, H&S legislation and procedures.
• Working knowledge of BIM, with the ability to input 3D scanning or point cloud survey information.
• B. Eng Civil Engineering.
• Temporary Works Co-ordinator training.
• Lifting Operations basic awareness course.
