An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor (7+ PQE) to join a well-established Legal 500 law firm in Southampton. This senior role offers the chance to manage a high-quality, varied family law caseload while playing a key role in the development of a growing Family Law team.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex financial remedy proceedings, divorce, separation, and private children matters, including relocation and contested arrangements.
- Advise on cohabitation and nuptial agreements, and disputes involving unmarried couples.
- Receive referrals from other internal teams, including Residential Property, Private Client, Employment, and Corporate, providing a consistent flow of quality instructions.
- Apply both alternative dispute resolution and contested court proceedings as appropriate, reflecting a constructive, client-focused approach.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Family Law team in Southampton.
Qualifications
- Qualified Family Solicitor with 7+ years PQE.
- Strong technical and procedural knowledge in complex financial and children matters.
- Excellent organisational, financial management, and client development skills.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and confident in business development initiatives.
- Ideally, a strong professional network in Southampton or the potential to develop one.
- Collaborative and adaptable, able to work independently while supporting the wider team.
