Overview

A leading global technology and business services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join its UK&I finance team on a 10-month maternity cover contract. This is a high-impact role reporting to the Finance Operations Director, with one direct report and broad responsibility across statutory reporting, tax compliance, and finance operations.

Location: London (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory financial reporting under UK GAAP and manage external audit process
• Ensure IFRS compliance and oversee group reporting obligations
• Support month-end close, balance sheet reviews, and journal approvals
• Manage corporation tax, VAT, and transfer pricing compliance with external advisors
• Oversee offshore finance operations (P2P, O2C, treasury, payroll, GL)
• Provide technical accounting guidance (IFRS 15, leases, pensions, etc.)
• Drive cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and treasury support
• Act as key contact for auditors, tax, and pension advisors
• Contribute to finance projects, systems/process improvements, and ad hoc business support

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CA qualified with 3+ years PQE
• Audit-trained with strong IFRS and UK tax knowledge
• Proven experience in statutory accounts preparation and audit management
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
• SAP ERP experience preferred
• Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity
• Experience in international and cross-cultural environments
