Senior Recruitment Consultant at Marks Sattin recruiting for Private Sector professionals in the Finance industry

I am currently working on an exciting opportunity to join an established real estate firm with offices globally. They are looking for a Finance Manager to join their expanding team. In this role, you will have responsibility for the overall finance function and managing the team that carries out these duties. The role is based at the company's central London offices.

About the role:

  • You will lead the team that oversees the month-end process; budget preparation, forecasting, management reporting, and strategic thinking.
  • Oversee balance sheet account analysis, cash flow, and consolidated reporting packs.
  • Train, develop, and assist the team, including 1-to-1s, performance reviews, and general coaching and mentoring.
  • Producing various ad hoc and standard financial reports for SLT.
  • Manage the general day-to-day tasks of the wider team.
  • Share useful information and explain difficult information to non-financial professionals.
  • Resolve general day-to-day issues both pre-existing and new/ongoing in relation to systems and processes.

In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that you are qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). A background or an understanding of the real estate/property industry from a previous role is ideal. Experience managing a team is key, as you will be overseeing a small team. However, it is essential you are open to a hands-on role, as you will be required at times to get involved with the day-to-day tasks. The successful candidate will need to be a confident leader, be a strategic thinker, and confident in all areas of staffing. A confident communicator is needed for this role, as you will need to be able to talk to both finance and non-financial professionals.

The organization currently adopts a hybrid working model, with the successful candidate being required in the office 2-3 days a week based on the requirements of the team. The organization's offices are based in Central London, providing great transport links to the surrounding areas. Other perks include a competitive salary, benefits package, and medical insurance policy.
