Senior Frontend Engineer, Developer Experience – Paddle

The role

The DX team at Paddle is making Paddle a world-class experience for developers integrating our billing platform. We provide documentation powered by Markdoc and Next.js, and developer tooling including SDKs such as Paddle.js and a hand-written Node SDK.

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer with solid React and Typescript experience. Build tools experience is a plus. Experience with checkout and payment systems, third-party integrations, and a user-centric design philosophy are valued.

If you’re a product-minded engineer who appreciates great developer experience, you’ll fit in. You’ll work in a cross-functional team to provide a DX framework and build end-to-end features and SDKs to delight users.

What you\'ll do

• Help shape the design system and work on the platform that powers developer.paddle.com
• Develop and maintain public libraries used by millions of people
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure a cohesive, powerful, and delightful developer experience
• Develop new functionality to onboard, build and evolve with Paddle
• Improve API practices to speed development and maintain cohesion and quality
• Drive innovation with new features for developers
• Work with AWS products (CloudFront, S3, etc.) to deliver performant and reliable services
• Contribute to team and engineering culture to make Paddle a great place to work

We\'d love to hear from you if you have

• Technical skills: Next.js, TypeScript, React/Vue, Node, RTL/Jest, Jenkins or other CI/CD platforms
• Experience building high-performing frontend applications in agile Product teams
• Interest in or experience with Laravel
• Experience collaborating with product designers and ideation sessions
• Strong understanding of API principles and best practices
• Experience producing SDKs or developer tooling
• Keen eye for UX and DX to provide a slick experience
