The Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to design and build the experiences that power our Customer Success platforms. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering new features that improve how customers, brokers, and internal teams connect with our services - including intelligent, agentic customer support systems.

In your first 12 months, you’ll lead development of intuitive, high-performing customer-facing portals, enhance our support tools with automation and AI-driven experiences, and help lay the foundations for scalable, delightful user interactions. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers to bring ideas to life - from concept to production.

Responsibilities:

• Build with impact: Develop modern, responsive front-end features using React and TypeScript, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and usability.
• Shape the experience: Craft intuitive, visually appealing interfaces that make engaging with our platform seamless for customers and brokers.
• Enhance support systems: Collaborate on building agentic, AI-powered tools that empower customer success teams to solve problems faster and more effectively.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Product, Design, and other Engineers to design thoughtful, user-centred solutions to complex challenges.
• Maintain high standards: Write clean, well-tested code, contribute to code reviews, and help improve team practices and documentation.
  
  

• Proven product delivery experience: Experience as a Frontend Engineer in a startup or fast-paced product environment, with ownership of key projects from start to finish.
• Frontend expertise: Strong experience with React and TypeScript, and a deep understanding of modern front-end development practices.
• Cloud skills: Experience working with AWS services, with an understanding of deploying and maintaining production applications in the cloud.
• UX/UI mindset: Ability to translate user needs into elegant, functional, and visually appealing solutions.
• Team-first approach: Experience working in cross-functional teams where Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers collaborate closely.
  
  

• Exposure to Python or Node.js.
• Experience building customer support or success tools, especially those leveraging automation or AI.
• Familiarity with the energy sector or other regulated industries.
• Understanding of real-time data systems or internal workflow automation.
  
  

• Competitive salary - our current band for this role is £80,500 or equivalent in local currency.
• We review salaries twice a year using real-time market data, with transparent, consistent pay for the same role and level.

• First call with our Talent Team (30 Mins). This is to understand your experience, motivations, and discuss the role in more detail.
• Behaviour Interview with our Engineering Managers (60 Mins). This is your chance to really understand the role, the expectations, and ensure alignment on ways of working.
• Technical Interview with the Team (90 Mins). You’ll meet with potential peers in this session and will discuss technical topics and experiences.
• Culture-Add Interview with Stakeholders (45 Mins). The final session will be with two cross-functional stakeholders, and will explore how your values align with ours, and is designed to be a genuine two-way conversation, your chance to understand what it’s really like to work at tem.
