Due to the growth of our Safety Team, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join us and contribute to our mission of maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
As a Senior Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the Safety Advisors and accountable for all aspects of people leadership, development, and performance management within your team. You will provide assurance on the quality of incident investigations, identify trends in incident data, and make recommendations to improve safety performance.

What you’ll be doing:
- Line manage the Safety Advisor team within your business unit.
- Set objectives and monitor progress for all team members.
- Ensure performance processes, including regular team meetings, performance reviews, and one-to-ones, are in place.
- Develop and implement development plans for team members.
- Identify trends in safety performance and near-miss data.
- Review business unit performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Support operational standdowns and training of front-line managers.
- Ensure active management, safety audits, and inspections are carried out.
- Implement immediate mitigation controls in the event of serious incidents.
- Support your team in incident investigations and ensure accurate classification of incidents.
What does it take to be successful?
- Ideally NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Member of IOSH (Tech IOSH/MIOSH or Grad IOSH).
- NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum.
- Proven experience in team leadership and management.
- Flexible in responding to customer needs and changing workload demands.
- Ability to have challenging conversations and maintain positive stakeholder relationships under pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel.
