Senior Lawyer – Housing Litigation Team

Founded in 2011, the South London Legal Partnership (SLLP) is the in‑house legal service for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Boroughs of Merton, Richmond upon Thames, Sutton and Wandsworth. The partnership has 150–160 staff and an annual turnover of £14 million, representing over 1 million people across the five councils.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a wide range of housing civil litigation matters, acting for our Boroughs as both claimant and defendant in tenancy management enforcement, disrepair, homelessness, public law and Judicial review.
  • Provide general supervision of the Housing Litigation Team and direct line management for up to five staff members.
  • Work to tight timescales, collaborating closely with team members and other stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Senior lawyer with significant experience in housing civil litigation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; self‑motivated, flexible and able to handle pressure.
  • Knowledge of local government legislation is desirable and/or can be developed.

Interview week commencing 8th December 2025.
