Senior HR Manager (Interim)
New Today
We are a market leading law firm with around 250 people specialising in media, telecoms and intellectual property issues.
The role
Our HR team is extremely busy and is seeking an immediately available senior HR professional to provide some additional support on a short term basis. We expect this to be around 6 months in duration, but it might be extended.
The role will involve a range of day to day HR tasks - from dealing with more delicate or complex enquiries and casework, guiding less experienced team members, and acting as their escalation point for technical queries, oversight and more complex issues. Reporting into the Head of HR, you'll help free up her time from too much operational work. You'll be dealing with a sophisticated internal client base who expect a high level of service.
It's a hands-on role and it's anticipated that the casework and other tasks will take up at least 70% of your time. In addition, the team has plenty of project and development work and there will certainly be opportunities to get involved in some of this.
About you
We need someone who can make an immediate impact, so fairly recent experience of HR work in a UK law firm is essential. You'll have worked at a manager or senior HRBP level for several years and have a strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience gained across the full employee life cycle.
You'll be experienced in handling challenging ER issues and able to act as a technical specialist in the team.
About us
Our culture is unique among law firms - both in what we expect from our people and the way we create value in the industries we serve. We empower our people, expect commitment and excellence, and celebrate when we achieve it.
Our values are at the heart of everything that we do and define Wiggin as a workplace: being visionary, authentic, unified, responsible and excellent across-the-board.
We operate a discretionary hybrid working model allowing up to 50% working from home. We offer an attractive remuneration package including 25 days holiday (plus birthdays off), private medical insurance, permanent health insurance and more from your first day of employment.
