Overview
Global Talent Acquisition Manager at Ultima Business Solutions - Driving Digital Transformation with the use of Artificial Intelligence and Automation. Ultima is seeking an experienced Microsoft Engineer to deliver a major client-facing Azure and AVD migration project. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll help a leading organisation transition from legacy infrastructure to a modern, secure Microsoft cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead migration from VMware + Citrix to Azure & Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Design and implement Azure/AVD maintenance systems, operational processes, and governance best practices.
- Manage Veeam backups, migrate file servers to OneDrive/SharePoint, and deliver Teams Phone rollout.
- Deploy Azure monitoring, including hybrid on-prem network monitoring, and integrate Hyper-V with Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
- Develop, document, and test disaster recovery runbooks and schedules.
- Lead cybersecurity hardening, patch management cycles, and cloud governance initiatives.
- Experience with Teams Phone, monitoring solutions, ASR, and disaster recovery planning.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Desirable: Microsoft/Azure/M365 certifications, Veeam engineer, ITIL or equivalent.
