The Opportunity

QBE Insurance is seeking a Senior IT Risk Analyst to join our Global IT Risk Management team, supporting the global Data, AI and Technology function within Technology Services.

This is a permanent, hybrid role based out of our London office. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing and improving technology controls to ensure compliance with the QBE Global IT Risk Management Framework and Group Enterprise Risk Policies and Standards.

Your New Role

As a Senior IT Risk Analyst, you’ll support the monitoring and reporting of technology and transformation performance in risk and controls as part of Line 1. You’ll help identify and track risks and improvements, analyse data, and ensure alignment with Group Enterprise Risk Management Standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Champion IT risk and controls management across key areas, promoting best practices and compliance.

  • Coordinate the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process to meet Group standards.

  • Evaluate IT control effectiveness through self-assessments and independent testing.

  • Maintain IT policies, standards, and control assessment plans.

  • Support the IT Risk Manager in maintaining policy compliance and governance.

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and drive proactive risk management.

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT risk management queries.

  • Advise risk and control owners on tools, techniques, and policy adherence.

  • Track and manage control gaps, incidents, and policy exceptions.

  • Prepare validated risk and control data for executive reporting.

About You

You’ll bring a strong background in IT Risk Management with proven experience in:

  • Developing technology standards, controls, and assessment plans.

  • Evaluating control effectiveness and supporting issue resolution.

  • Communicating clearly and managing stakeholders across all levels.
