Senior IT Support Technician
£38-40,000 per annum + permanent benefits
5x a week on-site (Vauxhall, London)
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for IT infrastructure, applications, and systems.
- Oversee IT helpdesk operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Design, implement, and maintain IT systems including servers, networks, and cloud solutions.
- Monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Implement IT best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with external vendors on hardware, software, and cloud services.
- Deliver training sessions and user support on IT tools and best practices.
- Manage IT asset inventory and software licensing compliance.
- Mentor and support junior IT staff, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Document procedures and maintain a knowledge base for the IT team.
About You
We\'re seeking someone with a strong technical background who thrives in problem-solving and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in IT support with senior-level responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, and related cloud services.
- Solid networking and hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach.
Desirable (Nice to Have)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate).
- Familiarity with ITIL service management practices.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
