Senior Legal Counsel - Private Funds (Mayfair) Our client, a prestigious financial institution, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support its private equity activities. The role involves structuring and managing private equity investment vehicles and reviewing and negotiating transactions conducted by these funds. This position provides significant exposure to a broad range of private equity matters, including investments in fund-of-funds and feeder funds, co‑investments alongside other investors, secondary market transactions and direct portfolio investments. You will play a central role in deal execution, collaborating closely with investment teams and external counsel to ensure efficient and timely completion. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the legal aspects of transactions throughout the full deal lifecycle. This role is ideal for a private funds lawyer with experience at a leading law firm or within a private equity organisation, with demonstrated expertise in reviewing and negotiating complex private equity agreements. Experience in negotiating and reviewing fund investments, co‑investments, secondary transactions, and direct deals is required.
