Initial 12 Month Contract – Likely to provide further work. Fully remote working. Oil & Gas sector. A Senior Marine Operations Engineer with a strong Installation background is required to work on an initial 12 month contract basis that will provide longevity beyond this. The role will be outside IR35 and will therefore offer a fully remote working setup. An Installation Engineer is required as part of the Naval and Marine Operation Team to support company activities worldwide on different projects and provide technical leadership within the naval and marine operation discipline.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Supporting follow-up, engineering review and monitoring of currently ongoing projects for new floating LNG facilities, FPSO, fixed platforms, pipelines, umbilicals, flexible lines and subsea structures T&I activities.
  • As the Senior Marine Operations Engineer, you will prepare T&I Scope of Works, Technical specifications for Installation and Pre-commissioning, External Interface and Responsibility Matrix, Installation Schedules for fixed platforms, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, floaters and subsea structures installation.
  • Identification of marine spread minimum requirements for a successful and safe installation of offshore structures.
  • Preparation of installation outline procedures to be provided as reference for T&I Tenderers for technical and commercial quotation.
  • As the Senior Marine Operations Engineer, you will monitor, follow-on and review execution projects installation engineering.
  • Aiding the Company during Technical Clarification meetings, projects HAZID, Offshore Site Queries and Offshore Management of Change.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have specific skill sets in offshore installation engineering, in particular related to the design and follow-up of installation engineering documentation such as load-out, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning and hook-up of fixed platforms, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, subsea structures and floaters (FPSO, FLNG, etc.).
  • High knowledge in technologies, vessels and equipment used for loading, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning and hook-up of subsea and offshore structures is required.
  • Experience in preparation and review of T&I ITT packages, managing technical clarification with installation bidders and preparation of Tender Bidder Evaluations.
  • Knowledge of offshore installation international Rules, e.g. DNV, IMCA, etc., as applicable to installation of offshore structures.
  • Experience with FEED and EPCI of T&I projects and ability to interface with naval, structural, construction & commissioning disciplines is advantageous.
  • Seagoing experience as Installation Contractor Project Operation Engineer and/or Company Representative for offshore installation and pre-commissioning of fixed platform, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, FPSO, FLNG and subsea structures.
  • Yard experience in offshore structures preparation for installation, mechanical completion and load-out is advantageous.
  • Experience participating in project HAZID.
  • OPITO certification for offshore travel preferable.
