A Day in the Life
Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team members are seasoned professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain and experience across multiple disciplines. They partner with hospital management to drive transformational change, implement growth strategies, streamline patient care pathways, and optimize operations.
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Senior Material Management Analyst manages daily material operations within a clinical setting for the IHS Managed Service in the South East of England, Essex area (Basildon). This is a fully on-site role.
Responsibilities include:
- Becoming the subject matter expert on the Inventory Management System (IMS), monitoring product errors, and being the local point of contact for related issues and updates.
- Executing and monitoring ordering, receipt, storage, and consumption processes for all suppliers' product portfolios.
- Implementing initiatives to reduce obsolescence risk, managing PAR levels, and conducting regular cycle counts.
- Coordinating all product returns with suppliers, liaising with IHS backoffice, and managing hospital expectations.
- Running reports, creating error logs, and following up on issues with suppliers and hospitals.
- Driving process improvements in materials management and consumption.
- Partnering with hospitals and IHS teams to ensure timely setup, ordering, and delivery, including managing stock levels for new product launches.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in Cath Lab, OR, hospital environment, or supply chain management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Clinical background, NHS experience preferred.
- Project or change management experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare/hospital practices and standards.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
