Join Light & Wonder – iGaming as a Senior Mathematician to design and develop exciting new games for the UK and EU markets. The role is hybrid, based primarily in our Bristol office with collaboration with our U.S. team in Las Vegas.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Mathematics, you will create game design techniques, collaborate with compliance and RTP teams, and contribute to the 2026/27 roadmap.

Job Description

  • Develop game design techniques and encourage innovation within the team.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team and RTP monitoring team to ensure best processes for game compliance.
  • Consult with other iGaming Creative Studios teams on BI/Data, game design, QA, project planning, and game development.
  • Work with game designers and mathematicians to develop proof of concept and feasible math models, setting an example for other mathematicians.
  • Work with game engineers to ensure correct implementation of math models.
  • Deliver high quality work as scheduled in accordance with game design and product requirements.
  • Maintain an understanding of competitive products and technology.
  • Develop and prove math models for games that demonstrate probabilities and return to player via theoretical calculation or Monte Carlo simulation.
  • Engage in continuous retroactive analysis of games.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in iGaming, or equivalent experience in casino or social gaming.
  • Experience with programming simulations, engines or similar in C++, C#, Python, or other languages.
  • Proficient using Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self‑motivated team player capable of working in a customer‑oriented, fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject, or relevant industry experience.
