OverviewWe are recruiting for several Senior & Principal Mechanical Engineers to join Nuclear and Defence Projects on long term projects on a Hybrid Basis via our base offices in Warrington, Bristol, Leicester or Newbury.ResponsibilitiesPromote effective co-operation across Engineering and other functional teamsAssist in effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers, to aid the development of business, resolution of technical and delivery issues, and such that the customer is fully briefed and informed of progressEnsure procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activitiesContribute to Project Safety Assessment processProduce, review and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation and technical reports as assignedMaintaining the engineering configuration, ensuring the overall design intent and integrity is maintained throughout design lifecycleProvide support to the Project Manager for the planning, control and delivery of task and projectsMake engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authorityAct as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorised to do so.Ensure application of highest standards for health and safety in immediate area of responsibility and ensure all team members across engineering co-operate with respect to company standards about matters on health, safety and environment, ethics and behaviours.Experience requiredNuclear experienceYou are someone who owns and delivers, who champions high performance and is courageous to challenge the status quoKnowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing PracticeAbility to build strong and influential relationships with key stakeholdersExperience of leading a teamQualifications requiredMinimum Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.Holds or has the ability to obtain Chartered status.Candidates will need to be eligible to pass a security clearance process in order to deliver this work.This is a fantastic opportunity to have a positive influence on an expanding engineering company with the option for flexible working
