Senior Military Air Certification Consultant
Location: UK-wide (Flexible)
Security Clearance:
Role requires UK Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain it (minimum 5 years UK residency).
Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Military Air Certification Consultant to lead certification management activities across military aviation projects. Working within the Aerospace, Defence, Security & Technology (ADS&T) division, the successful candidate will provide expert guidance on airworthiness, technical compliance, and safety across a variety of complex defence programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead certification strategies and deliverables for air system programmes
- Assess compliance with Military Air System Certification Process (MACP) including AMCs, MCRIs, TCBs, and TCEs
- Apply regulatory frameworks such as ASPIRE, AETP-08, MAA MRP, Def Stan 00-970, CS, and FARs
- Produce and assure certification artefacts and airworthiness documentation
- Provide strategic advice and direction on safety, hazard management, and air system compliance
- Support business development, market growth and capability expansion across the defence sector
- Proven expertise in military aviation certification and airworthiness
- In-depth understanding of MACP, ASPIRE, AETP-08, and MAA MRP
- Experience assessing AMCs and managing certification artefacts
- Familiarity with safety and hazard management principles within military aviation
- Excellent client-facing, written, and verbal communication skills
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or working towards)
- Experience developing Certification Management Plans or Airworthiness Strategies
- Working knowledge of Def Stan 00-056 and broader industry/defence standards
