OverviewSenior Model N Business Systems ConsultantLocation: UK, Europe or India | Job Type: Contract (Remote) | Department: Professional Services / Business TechnologyWe are looking for an experienced and highly technical Senior Model N Business Systems Consultant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation, configuration, and operational support of our Model N solutions (including Revenue Cloud, Deal Management, Rebates, and Government Pricing). The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of deep technical expertise in the Model N platform, a strong understanding of revenue management business processes, and a passion for delivering robust, scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and participate in all phases of the Model N implementation lifecycle: discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Collaborate with business stakeholders (Finance, Sales, Channel) to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective Model N solutions.
Design and configure key Model N modules, including Contract Lifecycle Management, Rebates & Fees, Government Pricing (Medicaid, Tricare), and Price Setting.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans (Unit, SIT, UAT) to ensure the solution meets business needs and is free of critical defects.
Manage data migration strategies, including data mapping, cleansing, and validation from legacy systems into Model N.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including functional/technical design specifications (FDD/TDD), configuration workbooks, and test scripts.
Operations & Ongoing Support
Serve as a Tier 2/3 subject matter expert (SME) for the Model N platform, providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex production issues.
Proactively monitor system health, performance, and data integrity, identifying and resolving issues before they impact business operations.
Manage and execute periodic processes, such as Government Pricing (GP) calculations and submissions, rebate accruals, and quarter-end close activities.
Design and implement system enhancements, customizations, and integrations with other enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Oracle).
Develop and maintain system reports and dashboards to provide business intelligence to stakeholders.
General & Strategic
Stay current with the latest Model N product releases, features, and best practices.
Mentor junior team members and business users on Model N functionality and processes.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the revenue management lifecycle.
Collaborate with external implementation partners and vendors as needed.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting Model N solutions, specifically within Revenue Cloud.
Experience with Government Pricing reporting (Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, Tricare) is a significant plus.
Experience with other CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) or CRM (e.g., Salesforce) platforms.
Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI) for reporting.
Technical Proficiency
Deep functional and technical knowledge of key Model N modules (e.g., Deal Management, Rebates & Fees, Government Pricing).
Strong understanding of Model N data model, workflows, and security (roles & profiles).
Experience with Model N integrations (Flex) and APIs.
Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of revenue management business processes in the Life Sciences or High-Tech manufacturing industries.
Implementation Methodology: Proven experience with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical and functional issues.
Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
