In addition to designing PCBs, you'll ensure that we’re making the best use of our tools and you’ll own our layout process and practices. Depending on your experience and aspirations there will be opportunities to develop this role beyond PCB layout, for example into schematic or electromechanical design.
Responsibilities
- Design mixed‑signal PCBs, balancing challenging cost, time to market and quality constraints.
- Act as the PCB CAD expert within our hardware community, providing guidance and support to other CAD users.
- Work with mechanical and electrical engineers to establish best practices for PCB design.
- Liaise with our factories and production engineers to reduce PCB cost and improve yield.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues with PCB manufacture and test.
- Own our tools, parts libraries and PCB design processes.
- Support our current Zuken Cadstar tools and lead our adoption of Altium Designer.
What You’ll Bring
You’re passionate about designing and bringing products to market, solving difficult technical challenges, and sharing your knowledge and experience with others. You have a proven track record of delivering PCB designs and have demonstrated your skills across several successful projects. You’re a great communicator, able to integrate and contribute quickly with a multidisciplinary delivery team. You’re always looking to expand your skillset, learn new tools and improve the way we work.
