Senior Pensions Project Analyst

1 Days Old

Overview

Job Title: Senior Project Analyst - Pensions Projects

Salary: £45,000 + discretionary bonus (~5%) + strong benefits

Location: Hybrid working (1-2 days in office per week)

Offices: Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast, Reading, Birmingham, Bristol or Croydon

The Opportunity

If you've worked on projects like GMP rectification, data cleanses or de-risking within pensions administration, and want more responsibility without stepping into a full PM role, this is a great move.

This is a delivery-focused role sitting in a new specialist team set up to handle major Defined Benefit scheme projects across the UK. The team is expanding quickly and you'd be getting in at the early stages - with the chance to help shape how things are delivered as it scales.

You'll get exposure to complex project environments, while still staying close to the admin, data and regulatory detail you know well.

About the Company

This consultancy is one of the most respected names in UK pensions, with over 1,200 employees and 20% year-on-year growth. Their admin, actuarial and projects teams work with major schemes - from FTSE 100 companies to public sector clients.

You'd be joining a newly built team focused solely on project delivery - backed by strong internal systems, clear progression pathways, and a genuinely collaborative culture.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the delivery of projects like GMP equalisation, dashboard preparation, data rectification and de-risking
  • Analysing and validating complex DB data across bulk exercises
  • Tracking project milestones and reporting risks, issues and progress
  • Working closely with internal project leads and external stakeholders
  • Producing documentation and supporting knowledge transfer across teams
  • Spotting ways to improve processes or delivery efficiency

This role is ideal if you're already hands-on with bulk pensions admin or projects, and want to build your skills in structured project environments.

What We're Looking For

Essential:
  • Experience delivering DB pensions administration (TPA or in-house)
  • Involvement in projects such as GMP, dashboard work, data rectification or de-risking
  • Strong Excel and data-handling skills
  • Able to manage competing priorities across fast-moving deliverables
  • Good communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
Desirable:
  • Previous exposure to project-based environments or project methodologies
  • Knowledge of pensions regulation and legislative frameworks
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members

Package & Benefits

  • £45,000 base salary
  • Discretionary bonus (~5%)
  • Hybrid working: 1-2 days in the office
  • 25 days holiday (with the option to buy more)
  • Pension scheme with up to 8% employer contribution
  • Health cash plan, life assurance, group income protection
  • Study support with salary increases for exam passes
  • Additional options: dental, critical illness, travel insurance and more
