Senior / Principal Consultant – Pressure Systems Compliance (PSSR / LNG)

Role Overview:
As a Senior / Principal Consultant, you will be part of our Integrity Advisory team of ~40 people, delivering PSSR compliance and project management services across LNG terminals, pressure systems, and onshore process facilities. Our Integrity Management offering provides end-to-end services including policies, procedures and standards, inspection planning, corrosion control, fitness for service, damage evaluation and failure analysis.
You will work alongside our mechanical integrity, inspection and materials experts to provide PSSR-focused advisory, audit and competent person services for clients, ensuring operational safety and regulatory compliance.
Key accountabilities:
- Technical Delivery: Provide expert-level knowledge in pressure systems inspection, compliance and integrity management; Lead PSSR projects and bids, acting as Competent Person for statutory examination and risk assessment; Deliver Written Schemes of Examination (WSE) and integrity audits for process and LNG assets; Provide solutions for risk management, repair and inspection planning; Conduct site visits, support inspections and deliver technical evaluations and reports; Mentor and support engineers in competency development and training; Foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team, driving continuous improvement.
- Commercial: Lead bids and develop execution methodologies to win new projects, particularly through existing client relationships; Identify and convert opportunities for additional scopes, repeat work and framework expansions; Manage projects to deliver as-sold margins, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction; Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal preparation and participation in technical meetings; Work collaboratively with other sections to grow the regional PSSR and asset integrity service offering across LNG, terminals, MOD and onshore process industries.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Previous experience as PSSR Competent Person, Mechanical Integrity Engineer, or similar.
- Significant expertise in PSSR legislation and compliance.
- Strong understanding of pressure systems and LNG / process plant operations.
- Knowledge of integrity management systems, HSE guidance and best practices.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Demonstrated project management and client interface experience.

The Asset Advisory team offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements across the UK, with preference for candidates based in South West England or South Wales and the ability to travel to client sites as required.
