Responsibilities
- Drive Platform Enhancements: Lead the development and implementation of platform enhancements, including new features and functionalities, to support both originations and receivables systems within the lending platform.
- Maintain and Optimize: Ensure the platform remains current by working with external suppliers to address technical updates and implement necessary changes.
- Roadmap Influence: Collaborate with key stakeholders to shape the development roadmap, advocating for Ford Credit-specific features and functionalities that enhance the platform's capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders across European markets, including teams responsible for vehicle data, residual value services, and document management.
- Problem Solving & Innovation: Identify and define business and customer problems within the lending platform, translating them into opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Prioritization & Execution: Develop and drive the product roadmap for the lending platform, prioritizing initiatives to ensure maximum impact and alignment with business objectives.
- High-Quality Delivery: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and impactful launches, ensuring an exceptional internal and external customer experience.
- Performance Measurement: Continuously evaluate the performance of platform enhancements and features through quantitative and qualitative methods, ensuring they address the intended customer problems and deliver value.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain the overall quality of the lending platform, ensuring world-class software delivery in every release.
- Strategic Support: Collaborate with senior product leaders across Ford Credit to ensure the overarching product vision is realized.
Qualifications
The minimum requirements we seek:
- Proven Core Systems Expertise: 5+ years of experience in a digital product team, focusing on back-end systems or platforms; deep understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Collaborative Leadership: Experience in a matrixed team setup, including offshore engineering teams; ability to influence and coordinate across digital product services.
- Strategic Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate and advocate for the product vision and strategy for back-end digital services.
- Product Launch & Management: Proven track record of launching and managing software products lifecycle (front-end, back-end, or both).
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Technically proficient with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to use data and analytics to inform prioritization and roadmap development.
- Technical Acumen: Comfortable engaging in technical discussions and understanding backend systems.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
