Levellr provides software and community expertise to some of the world’s largest gaming companies (Epic, Krafton, Scopely), brands (Google, YouTube), and music labels (Universal, Sony, Warner) to help them grow, manage, and monetize communities on Discord.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, data-driven, and customer-centric Senior Product Manager to join our team. At Levellr, PMs own product strategies from end to end. You’ll work as a ‘cofounder’ for your strategic area, partnering with a dedicated product designer and project-based engineering teams to set product direction, oversee development, and ensure we’re building solutions that align perfectly with customer needs and company goals.
This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, technical depth, and a relentless focus on delivery. You will be responsible for translating high-level company objectives into a clear, actionable roadmap, working closely with engineers from initial discovery to final launch, and ensuring nothing is lost in translation. Your written communication will be as important as your strategic vision, providing clarity and alignment across the entire business.
What you'll do:
- Strategic Ownership & Vision: Develop and champion a clear product vision for your strategies that aligns with Levellr’s mission. Proactively identify new opportunities, analyse market trends, and research competitors to ensure we are always one step ahead.
- End-to-End Execution: Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond. This includes writing exceptionally clear product specs that account for edge cases, partnering with engineering on technical discovery, making pragmatic trade-offs during development, and performing rigorous acceptance testing to ensure quality.
- Roadmap & Prioritisation: Own the product roadmap for your strategies, ensuring development priorities are backed by both qualitative customer feedback and quantitative data. Define and analyze metrics to measure the success of new features and inform future iterations.
- Exceptional Communication: Serve as the central point of communication for your product strategies. Produce clear, concise written artefacts (proposals, specs, internal updates, launch comms) that keep stakeholders aligned. Proactively close the loop with customers and internal teams so they feel heard and valued.
- Customer Insight & Advocacy: Become an expert on our customers' entire organisation. Go beyond the daily user to understand the economic buyer, their budget sources (e.g., marketing vs. community), and their strategic goals. Use this insight to build business cases that justify our value and drive larger, more strategic deals.
- Technical Partnership: Collaborate closely with engineering on technically complex, LLM-powered features. Dive deep into the technical details to understand constraints, contribute to solutions, and ensure we build scalable and robust products.
What we're looking for:
- Proven Experience: 8+ years of total professional experience, with at least 4 years in a product management role, preferably with a focus on B2B SaaS, community management, or big data products.
- Exceptional Written and Verbal Communication: You can articulate complex ideas with powerful simplicity. Your written specs are a source of clarity for designers and engineers, not confusion.
- Technical Acumen: You are comfortable in the technical weeds. You have experience working on complex software products and a strong interest or background in LLMs, AI, or data-intensive applications. You can hold your own in technical discussions with senior engineers.
- Delivery-Oriented Mindset: You have a bias for action and a track record of shipping high-quality products on time. You thrive on unblocking your team and clearing the path to launch.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: You are comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. You can pivot and adapt to new opportunities or challenges and are motivated by seeing your work have a direct impact on the business.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., GitHub Projects, Linear), data analysis software, and the ability to understand and discuss technical aspects of product development.
- Industry DNA (Strongly Preferred): You have deep experience in and a passion for the gaming industry and/or are a power user of Discord. You intuitively understand the dynamics of online communities.
Who we are
Levellr is run by two co-founders, Tom (CEO) and Ben (CTO), who have been building communities for the last 15 years at companies big (YouTube, Interpublic Group) and small (MyCujoo). We launched the company in 2021 with a mission to help our customers with the shift to community platforms like Discord & Reddit. We’ve largely bootstrapped so far, recently raising some investment from experienced gaming & media investors like Mitch Lasky, Owen Mahoney, Fuel Ventures, COLOPL Next, Crush Ventures and Dylan Collins as well as senior executives from Krafton, Riot Games, Amazon, EA and SuperAwesome.
- We work remotely. You’ll see us in calls from London coworking spaces, suburban home offices, and the occasional Airbnb.
- We get stuff done. We have a bias for action and love creating value from nothing but our code and our conversations.
- We thrive in uncertainty. We listen to market feedback and iterate continuously to build products our customers love.
- We value autonomy, independence, transparency, and trust. We always do the right thing for the team and the business, even if it costs us & we give each other radically honest feedback and challenge assumptions.
Because we are a remote-first company, benefits will vary based on your location. We take the health and well-being of our teammates seriously. Just tell us what you need to be happy and successful, and we’ll try our best to accommodate you.
- Home office budget once you pass 3 months probation
- Fully remote & flexible working hours
- Stock option plan
- New tech (laptop, etc)
