What you will contribute to the team

  • Analytical skills to prepare and critically evaluate performance measures (including earned value) and trends across multiple datasets.
  • Ability to focus on key issues and drive out mitigating or recovery actions across the project.
  • Good people management and task facilitation skills.
  • Experience of implementing robust project controls processes and toolsets in relevant industries.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project controls for a portfolio of infrastructure and built environment projects, including major global programmes.
  • Support the delivery of purpose-driven PMO and controls services across projects in various sectors.
  • Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure project schedules and reporting align with requirements.
  • Undertake project reviews and monitor KPIs; provide risk and issue management input.
  • Contribute to the planning, scheduling, cost management, and reporting activities across projects.

Qualifications and experience

  • Due to the nature of the role, offers may be conditional upon obtaining the appropriate level of security clearance.
  • Experience on large-scale infrastructure projects in sectors such as water, transport, nuclear, defence.
  • Educated to degree level and/or hold a project controls or management qualification (e.g., APMG Planning and Controls, EVM, PMQ, Prince2).
  • Flexibility to travel and work in different sectors and with various clients.
  • Risk management and reporting experience, including the use of ARM.
  • Proficiency with Primavera (P6) or Microsoft Project and/or other planning and resourcing software.
  • Ability to create and maintain project schedules aligned with project requirements.
  • Ability to reduce uncertainty on projects by adapting project methodology.
  • Experience in project reporting, including monitoring KPIs, and conducting project reviews.
  • Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and client-facing consulting experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience.

Preferred but not required

  • PMO experience and support for change management processes.
  • Monitoring and consolidation of project plans.
  • PowerBI knowledge or experience.
