About the Role

This is a senior, client-facing position with responsibility for driving project success and supporting organisational growth.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the delivery of large-scale healthcare capital projects from inception through to handover.
  • Managing client relationships and acting as the key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Preparing and overseeing project programmes, budgets, risk registers, and governance documentation.
  • Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Supporting the preparation of business cases in line with NHS and public sector requirements (SOC, OBC, FBC).
  • Providing mentoring and guidance to junior project managers, helping develop team capability.
  • Contributing to business development and framework delivery, including supporting bids and proposals.

About the Requirements

  • Significant experience managing complex healthcare projects (NHS or private healthcare).
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering capital programmes and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring project teams.
  • Professionally qualified (APM, RICS, or equivalent); Prince2 or MSP certification desirable.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to identify opportunities for innovation and value creation.
