Project Manager / Design Manager – Industrial & Manufacturing Projects

London - Could also be out of Birmingham or Reading too (with regular European travel). Contract position with a rate of up to £50ph LTD | Outside IR35.

About the role

Global Engineering Talent are supporting a leading international consultancy with the appointment of a Project Manager / Design Manager to join their London team on a contract basis. This role will see you working closely with the director, managing a portfolio of projects across the UK and Europe. You will be responsible for driving delivery through the early design stages, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring best practice across industrial and manufacturing schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design management activities across a portfolio of industrial/manufacturing projects.
• Manage stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication between client, design teams, and contractors.
• Oversee delivery from concept to construction documentation, ensuring technical and commercial success.
• Provide project reporting directly to the director and wider leadership team.
• Travel across Europe as required to support regional projects.

About You

• Proven experience managing industrial or manufacturing projects across the UK and Europe.
• Track record in both project management and design management roles.
• Familiarity with complex, large-scale projects – experience in Switzerland is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead diverse, international teams.
• Comfortable working in a client-facing capacity.
• Based in London with regular European travel.
• Hybrid working environment.

Compensation & Location

Up to £50ph LTD | Outside IR35 | Contract. Location: London, with potential for Birmingham or Reading, and regular European travel.
