Overview

This temporary opportunity as a Senior Project Manager/Director of Manufacturing within the Energy sector requires a skilled professional to lead and manage manufacturing projects effectively. The role is based out of the UK with travel between the UK and German sites. You will be responsible for new product development projects within the Energy space. Responsibilities

• Lead a new product development within the energy sector
• Influence key stakeholders and motivate project teams to get the project over the line on time
• Collaborating with international teams effectively day to day
• Don't focus too much on the technical element of the product

Profile

• Proven Delivery Record: Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Mandatory: Experience delivering New Product Development projects in the Energy sector.
• Strong Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage, influence, and communicate effectively with senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.
• Skilled in conflict resolution and expectation alignment within an existing international team.
• Technical Fluency: Solid understanding of manufacturing and industrial engineering.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into actionable plans.

Qualifications

• Certified at IPMA Level B or equivalent.
• Skilled in applying waterfall, agile, and hybrid approaches.
• Commercial Awareness: Strong understanding of contract structures, procurement, and financial controls.
• Capable of managing budgets, forecasts, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Leadership & Team Building: Inspires and motivates teams, fosters accountability, and builds trust.
• Experience managing international matrix teams and driving accountability.

Travel

Willingness to travel up to 25% within the EMEA region.
