Senior QS - Melksham role at Progressive

We have a contract opportunity for a Senior QS Melksham on a project-based assignment. The position is based in Wiltshire. Details below.

ASAP start • 6-month initial contract • Working on a National Grid substation project in Melksham • Hybrid role – 3 days on site • Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities

• Number crunching, cost forecasting, cost tracking and programme review
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Dealing with subcontractors
• Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
• Perform risk, value management, and cost control
• Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks
• Prepare and analyse costings for tenders

Client requirements

• Proven experience as Senior QS
• Strong NEC (4) knowledge
• Previously worked for a Tier 1 contractor
• Experience on relevant projects desirable (OHL/substations/utilities/nuclear/water, etc.)
• Experience in a live project setting
• Proactive and self-starting attitude
