Overview

Senior QS position at Progressive for a National Grid substation project in Birmingham. 6-month initial contract. ASAP start. Hybrid role – 3 days on site. Inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities

• Needed for number crunching, cost forecasting, taking costs, and looking at programmes
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Assist in establishing a client\'s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
• Perform risk, value management, and cost control
• Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks
• Prepare and analyse costings for tenders

Client requirements / Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior QS in project settings
• Strong NEC (4) knowledge
• Previously worked for a Tier 1 contractor
• Previously worked on relevant projects (OHL/substations/utilities/nuclear/water, etc.)
