Management of the implementation of a quality management system and its effectiveness in meeting business, statutory, legal, and contractual requirements.
Engages with business stakeholders to manage compliance to requirements, supporting a resilient business that manages risks effectively. The role is a key enabler to change and business improvement.
You'll be responsible for:
- Delivering delegated elements of an annual business plan to time and budget.
- Managing and facilitating external certification audits.
- Providing expertise and guidance in supporting achievement of new certifications where appropriate.
- Organising and facilitating internal audits in the audit programme.
- Leading audits and producing audit reports.
- Utilising comprehensive expertise to investigate and interpret root cause analysis of non-conformance instances, recommending corrective and preventative measures.
- Reviewing management system content for appropriateness, improvement, and implementation.
- Contributing to the identification of new systems and processes to improve efficiency, recommending improvements and innovations.
- Ensuring quality report information is accurate, available, and delivered timely.
- Producing communication articles, plans, and collateral.
- Coordinating management review activities, analyzing data, trends, and providing recommendations.
- Recommending actions to mitigate risks and enhance management system effectiveness.
- Supporting business development activities with specialised expertise.
- Developing and delivering training.
- Monitoring supply chain performance, supporting suppliers through training, guidance, and audits of their QMS capabilities.
- Working collaboratively towards net zero carbon goals, managing associated emissions and reductions during project delivery.
You'll need to have:
- Effective knowledge and application of quality management systems.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 standard and certification.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Good knowledge of management principles and operational controls throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Experience in developing and implementing tools and techniques in operational environments.
- High understanding of current industry standards and regulations.
- Working knowledge of the construction, consultancy, and facilities management industries.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and data analysis tools.
- Excellent written and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with effective report writing.
- Experience managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership skills for managing others effectively.
- Ability to influence senior management towards strategic actions.
- A mindset of continuous improvement, resilience, and effective meeting chairing.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships internally and externally.
- Degree-level education or equivalent.
- Formal auditor training in relevant areas.
- Line management and quality assurance experience.
- Experience with internal auditing and QMS implementation.
You'll also have:
- Experience implementing digital control tools.
- Understanding of project controls such as design, procurement, tendering, and delivery.
- Knowledge of outsourced business models.
- Ability to influence senior management.
