Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Quality Manager to join our Own-Brand Team here at Co-op. In this role, you’ll own and lead the end-to-end quality process for Co-op brand products. You’ll use data and insight to drive continuous improvement, align quality initiatives with the team’s strategic goals, define and maintain product specifications, and benchmark against market standards to ensure our products deliver exceptional quality for our customers and member-owners. You’ll build strong, collaborative relationships with our suppliers to ensure quality standards for our Own Brand products are clearly defined, understood and consistently delivered. Ultimately, you’ll help us create amazing products for our customers and member-owners.

What you’ll do

  • Be accountable for the end-to-end quality process for our own brand products from concept to the product being in our stores.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance is fit for purpose and monitor compliance across Co-op Own Brand.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure understanding of quality, customer, and commercial metrics.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams (Own Brand, Insight, Product Development and Technical) as well as external suppliers and service providers.
  • Use data and insight to build the foundation of Co-op Own Brand quality to drive towards team targets and goals.
  • Gather information about how products are performing and monitor complaints data to support decisions about Own Brand products.

This role would suit people who have

  • Quality management experience.
  • Experience leading a team of any size in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • A passion for quality and food.
  • Experience managing both internal and external partners and creating successful relationships.

Why Co-op?

If you have the skills that we need, we offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (and other discounts on Co-op products and services).

  • An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance).
  • 28 days of holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays.
  • A pension with up to 10% employer contributions.
  • Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ).
  • Coaching and training to support your career development.
  • Wagestream app – access to a percentage of your pay as you earn.

We’re actively building diverse teams and we welcome applications from everyone. If you have a disability, we can make reasonable adjustments to our recruitment process according to your needs. We're also part of the Disability Confident scheme, meaning we'll always offer an interview to disabled candidates who apply through the scheme if they meet the minimum criteria for a job.

We’ll ask whether you’d like to be considered under the Disability Confident scheme when you apply. If we invite you to take part in the recruitment process for any of our jobs, we’ll ask you if you need any reasonable adjustments to enable you to participate.
