Overview
Senior Social Worker Workforce & Practice – Adult Social Care, London Borough of Hackney. Fixed term / secondment opportunity (12 months). This role supports the delivery of programmes for newly qualified social workers (ASYE), social work apprentices, student social workers and practice education, and drives service improvement to strengthen practitioner confidence and experience.
About the Role
You will be part of the Practice Innovation and Workforce Capability Team, led by the Principal Social Worker. The team focuses on continuous evolution and innovation, developing our Continuous Professional Development offer, with accessible learning opportunities to support performance and staff wellbeing.
This post will mentor and support Social Work students and Newly Qualified Social Workers, helping them reach their potential in transforming lives and promoting well-being for those who draw on care and support. Who We Are Looking For
- An experienced Practice Educator and practice assessor with proven ability to provide direct support and supervision to students and individuals completing the ASYE.
- Knowledgeable about current and emerging adult social care legislation
- A strong communicator who supports colleagues and promotes best practice
- Analytical with a good understanding of the national context and needs of newly qualified social workers
