Salary: £45,000 to £50,000. Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 9:00 - 5:30.Position Overview: The Senior Bid Writer for NEC Digital Studio will be responsible for crafting persuasive and well-structured propositions, proposals, and tender documents that align with the NEC Digital Studio’s strategic goals and resonate with potential clients. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, gathering information, and effectively communicating NEC Digital Studio’s capabilities and offerings. The Senior Bid Writer will play a pivotal role in winning new business and driving growth.
Key Responsibilities
Proposition and Proposal Writing
Content Creation: Develop high-quality written content for bids, proposals, and tender documents that effectively articulate the division's solutions, benefits, and value proposition.
Message Alignment: Ensure bid content aligns with NEC Digital Studio’s messaging, branding, and strategic objectives, while addressing the specific requirements of each opportunity.
Content Customisation: Tailor content to meet the unique needs and preferences of each potential client or contract opportunity.
Persuasive Communication: Write compelling narratives that highlight the NEC Digital Studio’s strengths, differentiators, and capabilities, while addressing client pain points.
Content Editing: Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency, ensuring a polished and professional final product.
Solutions
Solution Development: Collaborate with the solutions lead to ensure proposed solutions fit what the client needs, using technical knowledge to create strong content that shows why our solutions are the best choice.
Collaborating
Content Research: Work with the proposition lead to leverage playbook resources for updated best practices, answers, and relevant content to enhance bid quality.
Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Subject Matter Experts to gather input for responses and propositions.
Bid Management
Deadline Management: Manage bid timelines to ensure content is completed, reviewed, and submitted on time.
Continuous Improvement: Feed feedback from tender outcomes into the Knowledge Management system to improve content and win rates.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all content meets high standards of quality, compliance, and accuracy.
Knowledge Management: Ensure all responses and feedback are recorded in line with knowledge management processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a proposition, proposal and bid writer, with a successful track record of crafting persuasive bid content, proposals, and tender documents.
Experience writing and winning work via proposals, propositions and tenders in the public sector and for technology and digital transformation-focused bids.
Proven experience as a proposition, proposal and bid reviewer, improving bid content quality and helping others achieve required levels.
Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail and grammar, conveying complex information clearly and persuasively.
Familiarity with bid management processes and knowledge management systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and bid management software.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment including Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Subject Matter Experts.
Excellent project management and deadline management skills.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
Experience in collecting and implementing feedback to improve bid content and win rates.
