Senior Software Engineer II - Backend, Flywheel - (Home/Flex/Office). The Flywheel Product Team is responsible for spinning HubSpot’s enterprise Flywheel faster. As HubSpot scales, we need to leverage that momentum to deliver a remarkable customer experience. The success of our team is defined by creating systems that enable HubSpot’s hyper-scale and break linear revenue growth. We build for HubSpot’s front line reps, ops teams and partners, so they can perform their best work and continue to generate continuous value for customers at scale.

POSITION: Senior Software Engineer II - Backend, Flywheel - (Home/Flex/Office)

Responsibilities

• Write and ship production code that has a meaningful user and business impact
• Envision, build and analyze new features and tools, each contributing to company growth and revenue
• Work with a small cross functional team of engineers, PMs, designers, content designers, and researchers
• Collaborate with HubSpotters across engineering, product, design, research, marketing, sales, etc.
• Help HubSpot users meet their goals through changes you’ve made
• Implement experiments that provide insights into user behavior and how to improve their experience
• Gain exposure to how HubSpot’s business operates

Qualifications

• Backend development experience; familiarity with Java, MySQL, AWS, DropWizard, Kafka and Kubernetes is ideal
• A strong user focus with the ability to empathize with user challenges and their product flows
• Excitement about tackling big technical challenges while staying closely aligned with business and go-to-market strategies
