This role offers the opportunity to design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance software systems for a leading digital experience platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on both backend and front-end components, maintaining real-time data feeds, APIs, and optimizing code for performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to architecture decisions, and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality delivery. This position allows you to influence feature design, implement best practices, and support the expansion of a dynamic, user-focused platform. You will join a globally distributed team, working in a hybrid environment, and contribute to projects that enhance workplace culture and engagement.
Accountabilities
- Design and develop robust backend services using PHP and Laravel, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance
- Build modular, reusable, and efficient front-end and back-end systems to streamline development and maintainability
- Maintain real-time data feeds and APIs, ensuring timely and accurate data rendering
- Optimize code and implement libraries to enhance software robustness and overall system performance
- Collaborate with Product Designers, Customer Success Managers, and other engineers to deliver user-centric solutions
- Participate in design discussions, conduct thorough code reviews, and perform detailed code analysis for high-quality software delivery
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development, particularly with hosted web applications or SaaS
- Strong skills in PHP, HTML, and experience working with the Laravel framework
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, unit testing, design patterns, and web application design principles
- Knowledge of database design, SQL performance optimization, and version control tools
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
- Familiarity with React and React Native, AWS Lambda or Firebase, OAuth or JWT, Redis, and testing frameworks such as Jest, PHPUnit, or Selenium is advantageous
- Ability to contribute to feature planning, system design discussions, and architecture decisions
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for hybrid and remote work environments
