Role: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Manchester, UK (Hybrid - bi-weekly visits to London)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

Clearance: Eligible for SC Clearance

SR2 is hiring a Senior Software Engineer with full stack skills across Java, React and AWS for an Agile Software Consultancy client with a central Manchester office. The project is for a central UK Government customer, using modern technologies and practices to deliver this critical project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Build frontend components with React and modern JavaScript stack (React preferred).
• Work with AWS or Azure cloud services.
• Collaborate within an Agile team and participate in design, code reviews, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• British Citizenship + Active High Level Security Clearance
• Strong expertise in Java development with Spring Boot and microservices
• Experience with AWS or Azure
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred, others like Angular, TypeScript, Vue.js)
