- Launched an award-winning sustainability strategy with a focus on making a positive impact on the local communities that make our holidays so special
- Expanded our business into Europe, with Switzerland, Germany and France as our first source markets
- Been named one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work two years running, in both 2023 and 2024, as well as being named the Best Workplace in Travel 2023.
We’re an ambitious bunch and we don’t intend on stopping here. We want to lead the industry, become the holiday provider of choice and to do this we’re building remarkable teams with modern ways of working.
The Development team at easyJet Holidays plays a crucial role in differentiating our company by developing our website and all proprietary software. This tight-knit and fast-moving team faces significant pressure but is central to helping the company achieve its ambitious goals.
The Senior Software Engineer, you'll work closely with our development teams to create and support both new and existing solutions. This role involves applying our quality standards to all projects, supporting development teams by designing and documenting technical solutions, providing technical expertise, and performing code reviews to ensure consistency with our standards. The Senior Developer will also stay updated with current software development trends and innovations that could benefit easyJet’s strategy.
What you'll be doing:
In this role, you'll support and guide the development and product teams towards better solutions and help them navigate potential issues. You will set standards for the teams and coach them on improved development and project management techniques. Working with business stakeholders, you will help them understand the constraints of our systems and explore new possibilities. Your contributions will be pivotal in delivering world-class development that shapes the future of the company.
What will be required from you:
You'll have a proven track record in developing solutions using technologies like .NET, .NET Core, Node.js, and various JavaScript libraries such as React, Angular, and jQuery. Experience with Sitecore and other CMSs, HTML/CSS, source control tools like GIT, and build and CI tools like Team City are also essential. You should be well-versed in Agile development practices, testing at multiple levels including TDD and BDD, and capable of developing solutions in a high-transaction, high-availability enterprise environment. A solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle and practical use of cloud technologies, specifically AWS, is required.
What we can offer you:
We offer a competitive base salary, up to 20% bonus, 25 days holiday, BAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes, a 7% pension contribution, life assurance, a flexible benefits package, and excellent staff travel benefits.
